Youth Voice: Youth Ambassador Board now has even MORE influence over Youth Employment UK’s top decisions

Exciting plans and greater youth voice input have been confirmed as Youth Employment UK’s Youth Ambassador Board and team officially got together for the first time on Tuesday 2nd July 2019.

I’m Patrick Cantellow, the Chair of the Youth Ambassador Board. Six months since the Board’s election, we have been developing ways of working and testing ideas on how we can do even more to help shape the work of Youth Employment UK.

The task may look easy, as the team already sets an amazing third sector example in engaging young people in everything they do. However, as of now, important strategy and communication decisions are included in this too.

The Youth Ambassador Board have agreed that we will grow as a deeply influential group of young experts in all parts of the organisation, either pushing the team to remain committed to their objective to deliver the very best outcomes for young people, or rein them back in when something isn’t quite right.

Now in their seventh year, Youth Employment UK have some very exciting plans to propel the Youth Friendly Employer Mark, Young Professionals and policy work.

I am incredibly excited, as I think everyone else is, to be part of the next steps for Youth Employment UK. It’s an organisation that I have had the pleasure to work with since 2015 and owe a lot to.
