How Coca-Cola European Partners are supporting their apprentices and young staff through COVID-19

Youth Friendly Employers Coca-Cola European Partners have ensured Apprenticeships training continues through times of coronavirus. Find out more…

We were delighted to be able to interview Sharon Blyfield Senior Manager – Business Partner, People and Culture, GB Apprenticeships and Early Careers, and Apprentice Samah Rafiq – both of Coca-Cola European Partners – to discuss the impact of the Coronavirus on their organisation.

Coca-Cola European Partners have been working with Youth Employment UK for more than two years, embedding and amplifying the values of being a Youth Friendly Employer.

Sharon has made support for apprentices her priority. Coca-Cola European Partners is not only securing apprentices’ roles but also ensuring that apprentice training will not be interrupted. Learners at the end point of their apprenticeship are assessed and can complete their apprenticeship as planned.

“We have protected all of our early career apprentices…. They (apprentices) are our future generation, our succession planning…. Our apprentices are at the heart of our work”

Sharon Blyfield
