Since 2012 we have run an Ambassador Programme providing young people with an opportunity to gain fantastic skills and experience whilst supporting a huge social issue. Our Ambassadors have been instrumental in bringing a youth voice to government, employers and educators on the youth employment agenda.

A key part to the work of our Ambassadors is to inspire and support young people just like them. Helping young people who are in education or unemployed Ambassadors are able to provide inspiration and guidance to their peers.

In a recent survey 60% of young people told Youth Employment UK that they would prefer to hear from young people who can share their education to employment journey.

We want to build on this great work and recruit more Ambassadors to scale up the work we have done to-date.

This is why we have created an opportunity for employers to support our work and support their existing young members of staff. Employers and Training Providers will be able to sponsor young employees onto the 12 month Ambassador Programme. Ambassadors will benefit from a range of personnel development opportunities that will support their own growth whilst also supporting young people in their own communities.

You can find out more information about the opportunity and how your organisation can get involved here.
