What Qualifications & Training Do You Need For Audit Compliance Manager Careers?

There are few different steps you can take to become an audit compliance manager, unfortunately there are not any specific courses that incorporate auditing or compliance but there are other options that you can still explore that will still be relevant.

Apprenticeships

Most companies are looking for someone who has achieved a 2:1 in an undergraduate degree as a minimum, the relevant subjects would be law, business, economics, IT, computer science, business management or accountancy. As an audit compliance manager, you will be involved in different departments, if you study any of the subjects listed then it will make your job easier.

There are outside qualifications that you can earn, although they are not a necessity, and they are not compulsory but a good opportunity to boost your CV and set you apart from other people. The ICA or the International Compliance Association offer qualifications and certification in relation to compliance. If you are already employed and you are pursuing this role, then your company may decide to invest in you and pay for the additional training if they believe it will be an asset to the company, so it is worth looking into. Diploma in Governance, Risk, and compliance: This certification is the equivalent of a level 6 qualification and takes 9 months to complete and can be completed online or face-to-face whichever fits your needs. There are three different modules, the first module is about the need for regulations and their history. Module two understanding behavioural compliance, how you can use corporate governance to benefit a business and finally module three where you would focus on risk management, compliance functions and the role of a compliance professional.

Certificate in Compliance: This certification will give you an introduction and an understanding on regulations and how they work in practice.
