Youth Employment UK CIC is delighted to announce its new partnership with special friends Bite the Ballot.btb-official-logo

Bite the Ballot CIC is a campaigning organisation which aims to inspire and inform young people to use their right to vote and their role as a constituent to tackle the youth issues that most affect them.

“A campaigning organisation formed at a grass roots level, developed by young people for young people. This couldn’t be more in line with the vision and values of Youth Employment UK CIC” says Laura-Jane Rawlings, founder of Youth Employment UK CIC

“Our work involves us talking to and working with young people, we inspire young people to sign up to our Positive Youth Charter and to get more involved in the youth unemployment issue, and politics is part of that.  Education, environment and economics all play their role in youth unemployment and encouraging young people to be the champions, to have a voice and to challenge policy is a really important factor in the fight against youth unemployment.

We believe that partnership working is also a key to tackle youth unemployment; there are so many great organisations like Bite the Ballot, by working in partnership we can strengthen each other’s role in the UK.  We will connect our young people to their campaign and vice versa, we will share information and networks that will help each organisation to have the most positive impact on young people.”

Mike Sani from Bite the Ballot says: “We are really pleased to be working in partnership with Youth Employment UK, they are an organisation that we feel will have a huge positive impact on youth unemployment in the coming years.  In our My Manifesto campaign “Jobs” was a real area of concern for young people and an important policy area.  It’s a very natural alignment to work with Youth Employment UK and we look forward to supporting them in the coming year and beyond.”
