May Event – Elevate Equity: Harnessing Young Talent

The Open University will be hosting this event on attracting and developing young talent in the UK. The day will be full of panel discussions and presentations from keynote speakers, and is hosted by presenter and journalist Ben Hunte.

Our Deputy CEO, Lauren Mistry, will be attending the event, speaking on the ‘transition from education to work – a skills mismatch’. She will discuss the mismatch between what employers need and young people’s workplace readiness, and how this relates to onboarding, mentoring and experience at key transition points.

Other events during the day include discussions about:

  • The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gen Z
  • Hybrid and remote working
  • What Gen Z value in their careers
  • Recruiting Gen Z in an employee-driven job market
  • Gen Z retention, and learning and development investment

To register for the Elevate Equity event, visit the Open University website to book your place and confirm whether you will be attending in person or virtually.
