About the programme

St. James’s Place Industrial Placement Programme is specifically designed for university undergraduate students, offering the opportunity to transfer skills learnt from university, whilst gaining practical experience of the world of work and contribute on projects and initiatives that will have a real impact on our business.

You will have the chance to learn from senior managers, network with peers and build lasting relationships. At St. James’s Place, we believe in continually developing our employees and as such you can expect to attend workshops during your placement that will help you develop a range of useful skills from key skills for project success to learning the best tactics to influence and negotiate effectively.

You will undertake a 12- Month Placement in our Marketing Team within the Establishment Division. You will support Establishment in achieving Partnership growth through the delivery of effective marketing and operational activities and by contributing towards a variety of strategic projects and initiatives across the Establishment division, including the development of the company’s Academy programme.

key responsibilities

  • Work with the Establishment Marketing Manager on the overall management and operational running of the marketing division on a day-to-day basis.
  • Conduct strategic research and analysis into the financial advice market that supports recruitment initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to improve the marketing delivered to new recruits on their route to the Partnership.
  • Analyse data and completes analysis that supports the development of the division’s marketing activities.
  • Shadow our Business Acquisition Managers to learn about the recruitment of experienced financial advisers, as well as individuals onto the company’s Academy programme.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of the financial advice market to enhance our recruitment efforts.
  • Maintain and enhance our Sharepoint and internal communication vehicles.
  • Assist with the administration, maintenance, and development of the division’s CRM

Salary: £22,800 + plus excellent benefits

Start Date: Monday 4 July 2022, 12 Month FTC
