About The Futures in Finance Competition

Futures in Finance is a creative competition that aims to open up opportunities in the financial services industry to young individuals, regardless of their background, academic path, experiences etc.

The winners of the competition will be offered a place on our Summer Insight Week, which will take place in July 2022. This will be held virtually Monday-Thursday, and in person at one of our offices on the Friday. The exact dates will be confirmed in due course.

About the summer insight week

During the Summer insight week in July, you will receive training in Finance and support from St James Place with starting your career in the finance industry. You can expect:

• To work-shadow employees from different areas of the business such as Investment Management, Client Services, Responsible Business, Technology and Corporate Strategy
• To attend skills workshops. For example, financial education sessions, CV writing workshops, presentation skills classes and more. All of which will help you develop the skills necessary to start a career in the financial services industry
• The opportunity to come into a SJP office on the last day of the insight week
• The opportunity to engage in a 3-month long mentorship scheme with a senior SJP employee
• To be considered for interview for future SJP Early Careers programmes (e.g. summer internships)
