Green careers – getting started with the Environment Agency

You will know that climate change can create all kinds of environmental challenges, including flooding. The Environment Agency offer work placements to degree students exploring hydrology and flood risk modelling.

You don’t need to be great at science to get into green careers. If you are interested in the communications and business side of things, the Environment Agency offer work placements to business and communications students to help them understand important work like political engagement with government over serious environmental challenges.

There’s always a route into green careers, whatever your background and interests are. The Environment Agency offer apprenticeships, graduate programmes and many different opportunities to experience, earn, and learn your way to a rewarding career and sustainable future.
