About this tech careers event
Did you know that roles in the tech sector pay 55% higher than the national average and that skills offered by bootcamps can lead to an average salary of more than £70,000? The demand for tech skills is sky high and the British tech sector needs YOU. Over the next 12 months, the UK government aims to upskill 64,000 individuals through bootcamps that target priority skills such as cloud computing, software development, data and analytics, cybersecurity and web development. You could be one of those people!
If you live in London and are currently unemployed or working less than 16 hours a week and interested in getting into the tech sector – you don’t want to miss this event!
Register NowWe’ll be talking all about FREE BOOTCAMPS and other training courses available across different areas of Tech that will help you land your first entry level role, we’ll be exploring:
**ELIGIBILITY** – Please be aware that this event its self and the training opportunities discussed at this event are strictly only open to people who meet the following eligibility criteria. Please do not book a ticket for this event if you do not meet ALL of the following criteria:
- You MUST be currently unemployed OR working part-time for 16 hours per week or less OR you are on a zero hours contract.
- You MUST currently live in 1 of the 33 London boroughs proper, unfortunately any area just outside of London doesn’t count.
- You must NOT already currently be in any form of education.
- You must NOT already have a Computer Science degree or any degree relevant to the career you want to break into.
- You MUST have the legal right to live and work in the UK, and you MUST have lived in the UK or EEA for a minimum of 3 years (unless you have refugee status with the legal right to work in the UK).
Please also be aware that, while not all of the training opportunities we connect people with have an upper age limit, some of them do.
London Digital Jobs and Skills Hub particularly encourages women who are interested in breaking into the Tech industry to attend this event. However this event is open to all genders as long as all the eligibility criteria above are met.
