About the opportunity

Women, Youth & Kids Empowerment Initiative for Sustainable Peace & Development CIC (WYK Empower) aims to bridge the gap between disadvantaged communities and the rest of the city – working to empower disadvantaged women, youth & kids from the bottom up in teaching them about Human Rights, Conflict Transformation, Gender Equality & UN-SDGs and how they can make change within their communities and globally.

We are a unique organisation working in towards creating leaders of change to work towards more sustainable and peaceful societies.We provide a unique service that works with women, youth & kids to build their capacities in human rights, conflict transformation, gender equality & UN-SDGs.

We provide support to students through helping them gain the tools and knowledge to overcome community and global problems through building their skills, helping them develop ideas to work towards resolving community problems, researching the visibility of those ideas and how to implement them in real life through our entrepreneurship support.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Program Manager within our London office or working remotely.

Job purpose

We are looking for two programme managers, preference will be given to applicants between the age of 18-24, as part of our youth support programme.

They should understand our vision and goals and help develop engaging courses and workshops for youth and kids. Often working with little guidance and independently while overseeing multiple programmes we have in the pipeline.

The programme manager ideally should have previous experience in creating or uploading content on WordPress. They should be an effective communicator, especially when it comes to relaying concepts to the wider team.

Main tasks:

  • Help develop courses and workshops for youth and kids
  • Upload graphics onto courses and amend the visual design of the content
  • Create short videos for courses using our online film tool
  • Help with general programme management
  • Brainstorm with the wider team
  • Redesign the original creative style to cater to our diverse users
  • Create a memorable visual experience for our users
  • Pitch ideas confidently and present the creative vision clearly to the wider team during the development process.
