At our specialist service in Perranporth, we support adults with learning disabilities/ autism who may exhibit behaviours that can challenge.

We aim to deliver bespoke, high quality support within a homely environment for people who have a learning disability, in which continuous encouragement, fulfilment, education and stimulation are the core elements to make every day a good one.

The high-quality care provided will enable people to achieve their own personal objectives in ways that are generally valued in our society.

Tarrant House is a Residential Care Home consisting of seven rooms within the main house, all having been tailored to suit the persons’ personal individual personalities and needs.

This is a great opportunity to join a positive team who believe in delivering inspirational and motivational support for the people we support. The successful candidate will have the aptitude, desire and commitment to work in social care with adults with a variety of needs.

Key responsibilities

  • To provide proactive, flexible, positive and caring support to adults living in our Service
  • To enable people to learn new skills towards living more independently
  • To assist and provide individuals with support for their emotional and practical needs
  • To work effectively as part of a team and have a ‘can do’ attitude
  • To be a part of developing and implementing person centred care plans

Details

    • £11.25 hourly rate + enhanced bank holiday rate.
    • Hours available – Full or Part time
    • Paid training incl Care Certificate and Level 2 Diploma and bespoke training tailored to the needs of people we support
    • Shifts are on a rota basis and may include sleep-ins.
    • Experience not essential – we will induct, train and develop you!
    • (A valid driving license is not essential, but due to the location and nature of the service is preferred)
