Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship With The Royal Navy: #CreateYourFuture Opportunity

Logistics is the backbone of the Royal Navy. It’s your job to work closely with your Logistics Officer to make sure your crewmates have what they need, when they need it – wherever you are in the world. But being a logistician in the Submarine Service is different. Without you, the submarine wouldn’t – and couldn’t – be operational. A submarine’s first defence is stealth, so giving away its position is a huge consideration. Trips to the surface are for food supplies and your crewmates’ morale. These vital factors, and millions of pounds-worth of equipment, are in your hands.

At this job you will:

  • Learn all the skills you need to ensure your submarine has everything it needs to be operationally effective, regardless of the rigours of the highly classified mission you’re deployed on
  • Learn about managing a complex global supply chain, and how to source the items you need, all over the world
  • Learn additional skills as an Incident Board operator, helping damage-control teams fight fires and floods
