Rewilding Communications Trainee from Countryside Jobs: Somerset – #CreateYourFuture

Looking for great environmental opportunities? Explore this paid programme from Heal Rewilding and Countryside Jobs!

About the opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented communicator to join a small, friendly rewilding charity. You will be managed by Heal’s Operations Director, working collaboratively to design and deliver Heal’s active digital communications programme.

Our experienced team will provide one-to-one training in communications and marketing. On a day-to-day basis, you will undertake tasks such as copywriting, social media scheduling and monitoring, graphic design (images/videos) and website design.

New to Nature is an exciting programme of paid work placements in nature-focused roles. This is one of 70 roles that will be created across the UK to encourage young and diverse talent into the Natural Environment sector.

You’ll get paid a good wage from a placement that helps the environment, learn loads of skills to boost your CV and get access to a Youth Employment Coach to help you plan your future career. There’ll also be opportunities to learn about potential careers in the natural environment, and (should you wish to) connect with the other young people working in New to Nature roles across the country.

About Heal Rewilding

Heal launched in March 2020 to raise money, buy land and rewild it. We’re a small team with an ambitious goal to open a new nature recovery site in every English county by 2050. This year is a big one for us as we’ve just acquired our first rewilding site – Heal Somerset – which is 460 acres of beautiful land with huge potential for nature recovery.

Heal is a vibrant, young charity with a particular focus on young people and accessibility – we’re passionate about creating nature-rich spaces that can be enjoyed by everyone. Over the last few years, with help from our many generous and enthusiastic volunteers, we have collaborated with organisations such as Rewilding Britain, Knepp, Youngwilders and Beaver Trust on a wide variety of projects including scientific research and events.
