About the virtual work experience
Politics impacts every single aspect of our lives. I have a voice equips young people with the skills and confidence to engeffectively with the political decision making process. During this week of work experience you will develop a lifelong toolkit that you can use to speak up, and be heard, on the issues that matter to you and your community.
We will:
Demystify what happens in Parliament and Government
Give you an insight into the world of lobbying
You will:
Work in a small team to develop a political campaign plan on an issue that matters to you
Write to politicians about your issue
Create communication materials such as social media posts, blogs and press releases to inform your peers about your campaign – we will post them on our website and social media channels (this is not a drill you will be campaigning)
Afterwards you can join our active Youth Ambassador programme to continue campaigning.
