Political Campaigning Virtual Work Experience with I have a voice – #CreateYourFuture

Want to speak up on issues that matter to you? Join this virtual work experience with I have a voice to learn how to be an effective campaigner.

About the virtual work experience

Politics impacts every single aspect of our lives. I have a voice equips young people with the skills and confidence to engeffectively with the political decision making process. During this week of work experience you will develop a lifelong toolkit that you can use to speak up, and be heard, on the issues that matter to you and your community.

We will:

  • Demystify what happens in Parliament and Government
  • Give you an insight into the world of lobbying

You will:

  • Work in a small team to develop a political campaign plan on an issue that matters to you
  • Write to politicians about your issue
  • Create communication materials such as social media posts, blogs and press releases to inform your peers about your campaign – we will post them on our website and social media channels (this is not a drill you will be campaigning)

Afterwards you can join our active Youth Ambassador programme to continue campaigning.
