Paint Sprayer Apprenticeship opportunity with Brydens Garage – Leeds #CreateYourFuture

Provide the skills, knowledge and competence to prepare, spray and finish vehicles that have been involved in accidents / collisions. You will work towards a Level 3 Vehicle Damage Paint Technician apprenticeship standard.

Duties will include:

• Responsible for preparing parts for painting
• Mix paint and other materials according to specification or formula
• Able to blend paint and familiar with handling solvents and chemicals
• Wearing the correct uniform and footwear
• Making sure their working bay is clean at all times
• The spray guns are always clean, and the mixing rooms are kept clean and tidy
• To learn what a vehicle is made of as certain body panels can be made of plastic, metal or aluminium so each of these have to be painted differently
• To read a job card and correctly learn the methods, gain knowledge of the material you use for painting or preparing a vehicle as different grades are required when rubbing down panels
• To learn how to mix paint, use of paint scales, different spray guns and use the correct amount of paint and lacquer
• To follow health and safety regulations at all times
