Not only will the chosen personnel work with skilled and experienced engineers they will also gain qualifications as a mechanical or electrical engineer.

The period of the apprenticeship is 42-48 month. This will include day release to college once a week to gain the theory-based qualifications required.

We are looking to commence these apprenticeships in September 2022.

Job role

  • Read and interpret relevant data and documentation used to maintain components, equipment, and systems
  • Carry out condition monitoring of plant and equipment
  • Carry out planned maintenance activities on plant and equipment
  • Carrying out complex fault diagnosis and repair activities on high technology engineered systems such as:
  • Maintaining mechanical equipment
  • Maintaining fluid & pneumatic power equipment
  • Maintaining electrical & electronic equipment
  • Maintaining process control equipment
  • Carrying out confirmation testing and subsequent smooth hand over of equipment & plant support the installation, testing and commissioning of equipment (where applicable).
  • Contribute to the business by identifying possible opportunities for improving working practices, processes and/or procedures

Entry Requirements

  • Communication Skills
  • Problem Solving
  • Team working
  • 4 GCSE’s at Grade C/4 or equivalent including Mathematics, English and a Science

Details

Location: Ketton, Rutland, East Midlands

Working hours: 40 hrs

Year 1 and 2 is 36-hour week (7.30am – 3.30pm Mon to Thurs, 7.30am – 11:30am Friday)

Year 3 and 4 40 hour week (7.30am -3.30pm Mon to Fri)
