As a HR Apprentice, you will be supporting the HR Manager and HR Coordinator with the provision of administrative support across the site interacting with internal and external customers. This is an exciting opportunity to learn the variety of aspects that make an employee lifecycle, whilst gaining a Level 3 CIPD HR qualification.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide a service to all employees and managers actively support HR team with any employee queries, requests and issues.
  • Acquire an understanding of HR policies and UK Employment law and Legislation to be able to support and advise employees and site Senior Management Team.
  • To support the HR function with general administration relating to new employees and the termination of employees including the monitoring of site sickness/absence levels
  • Support in the complying of LabourTurnover information for the site and group.
  • Assisting with a variety of activities with our non-UK passport holders and Tier 2 Overseas Workers including welfare checks, supporting with Ethical Audits and Modern Slavery interviews.
  • Take responsibility for the preparation of documents and when required assist with weekly site induction
  • Represent site on attending Careers Fairs when requested
  • Take an active role in Employee Focus Group activities and meetings
  • Play an active role in site employee engagement, charity events and the site Corporate Responsibility Program

Entry Requirements

  • No formal experience within HR is required as full training will be given. However, we are looking for an individual who has an interest in business, is keen to learn, can manage their time well and is looking to continually improve their skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, ,an ability to embrace a challenge and be able to adapt to the change in work priorities is a must.
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grade C/4 or above, as well as a relevant A Level, T Level or BTEC equivalent in Business, as well as intermediate IT skills including Microsoft packages

Working hours: 37.5 Hrs , Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm, including 1 hour break

Starting salary: £20,000 (incremental increases throughout the duration of the apprenticeship)

Location: Yetminster, Dorset
