The Butchery Apprenticeship standard is currently available at both Level 2 and 3 lasting between 18-24 months. We are looking to recruit Butchery Apprentices to join our team in September 2022. Working in a busy department you will learn how to become a skilled butcher.
Many people in supervisory and management positions at ABP started their careers within our production departments, so this could be the start of a rewarding career for you.
You will learn how to bone, trim and pack the meat in line with customer/company specifications which are received to order.
During this apprenticeship you will:
- Regularly complete apprenticeship coursework
- Complete an assessment at the end of your training period
- Engage in all aspects of training and communication
- Get the opportunity to earn real money while you learn

- Practical skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Good communication skills
- A friendly, positive, hardworking approach to work
