About the opportunity
Referly is on a mission to boost social mobility in the Tech sector. We are building a FREE one of a kind employee referral platform that will get you hired into a Business Development Representative (BDR) role at a top tech company.
What is an employee referral? An employee referral is where a company employee recommends you to their internal recruitment team. Through a referral you are at least 9x more likely to get hired than any other source! So what’s the problem? Employee referrals are great. So great that 82% of employees say it is their best recruitment channel.
The problem is that candidates from less privileged backgrounds often lack the professional networks to get referred. They don’t know people who work in top tech companies! That’s where we come in. We connect you with employees in Tech companies who are passionate about diversity and want to make a difference.
They will contact you, coach you and refer you into their company if you are a match for the Business Development Representative role. It’s as easy as that!
What does a BDR do?
As a BDR, you’ll be contacting people at different companies that could find value in the product/s that your company offers. You’ll be contacting them in various ways, from cold calling, emailing, social media outreach etc – you can get really creative with how you do this!
Once you’ve got in contact with them, you’ll be responsible for qualifying them & arranging meetings for the sales people that you partner with Requirements There aren’t many!
You can be a recent grad, career changer or current BDR who wants to change company and you are welcome here. The only thing we look for is that you come from a socially mobile background and are driven and motivated.
In the role you will work to monthly or quarterly targets so the role does require a lot of resilience, determination and grit. Currently we are focussed on roles in London and remote roles.
