A brilliant opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic individual who wishes to work in an Arts & Community Centre in Wellington.

You will report to the Manager and café supervisor: You will be trained in Health and Safety Building, assisting with monthly building and risk assessment audits, assisting in café and box office, training and supporting volunteers in all areas of the business.

You will also carry out emergency first line maintenance, upkeep of equipment maintenance records and logs, check tickets on entry, assist any less abled film viewers entry and exit, There is also a potential to train on projection and film equipment in future.

We would like to have excellent communication skills, a professional and personable manner.

Good timekeeping and IT skills. Essentially this will be on the job learning from the Orbit Management Team, and involve working initially with the cinema and café.

As the business returns to normality following COVID and the business expands this role will possibly become permanent with the potential of increased responsibilities and hours.

You will be supported with CV writing and interview skills techniques prior to the end of their placement.
