Some colleges provide supported internship programmes for their students with an Education, Health and Care Plan. Participating in a supported internship programme means you will spend most of your time on a work placement with an employer whilst being supported by a job coach. You will continue to go to college when not on your placement to complete work related qualifications.

If you are leaving college with an Education, Health and Care Plan, you may be able to apply for an apprenticeship where an exception has been made to the Level 2 Maths and English requirements.  This is only possible on certain apprenticeships, so contact the Think Sandwell Specialist Employment Team for more information.

If you have a disability or mental health condition, you can get specialist support to help you find a job.  This varies depending on the area you live in.
