Summary of Offering
The Kickstart Scheme is very much in line with Barnardo’s mission to deliver better outcomes for children and young people. We are aiming to provide 70 placements ourselves across the organisation.
Additionally, via our Employment, Training & Skills (ETS) programmes which operate across the UK and support c.3,000 disadvantaged young people each year, we will be acting as a gateway provider and can offer comprehensive employability support for any employers that might welcome our specialist expertise. Barnardo’s has a long-standing experience in delivering our ETS services designed for young people who face barriers to employment and are at risk of long-term unemployment. Our extensive knowledge and specialist services well position us to effectively support future Kickstarters.
Specialised Cohort Support
Barnardo’s ETS programmes offer generalist employability and training support for the most vulnerable young people across the UK. Although most programmes support young people into opportunities across a range of sectors, we do have industry specific programmes within Construction, Hospitality, Tech, Customer Service and Retail.
