About This Opportunity

This course is ideal if you are already a care worker and you have some responsibility in your workplace, you sometimes work without supervision or you want to develop your skills to progress in your career.

This qualification assesses knowledge and skills relating to the health and social care workforce.
It is relevant to job roles such as:
• Senior care assistants/support workers/key workers in residential setting/in domiciliary service/in day services
• Senior healthcare assistants/support workers in community and primary car environments/in acute health environments
• Senior support workers in supported living projects
• Community-based senior care assistants/support workers/key workers, including those working in specialist areas e.g. Dementia and learning disabilities
• Personal assistants employed directly by the individual they support or their families
• Emerging new types of workers and mul disciplinary health roles crossing traditional service barriers and delivery models


Eligibility & Requirements

You must already be working in a paid or voluntary capacity in a health and social care setting for a minimum of 12 hours per week. You will also need to complete an initial assessment of your numeracy and literacy skills.
