National Skills Days is a chance to celebrate all things skills! The next National Skills Days event is 9th February 2022.
National Skills Day is a great chance for everyone to show their talents – wherever they are – to inspire more young people to develop expert skills. It’s important that we all take time to identify our skills and share them to educate others.
Use the FREE Young Professional programme
- Students develop key life and work skills
- Weekly bit-sized activities and tips
- Online courses matching your students’ needs and levels of education
National Skills Day is a useful day to reflect on the importance of building life and work skills – and helping your students explore ways to do so.
Would you like to introduce your students to the FREE Young Professional online training programme? It’s a great way to get learners thinking about their future and is useful in building life and work skills.
The Young Professional Programme help learners explore their strengths, needs and future goals to ensure they feel more confident about how to get to where they want to be. By working through videos, activities, quizzes, and informative guides, they will learn how to build the most important Young Professional skills (problem solving, communication, self-management, teamwork, self-belief) and how to showcase them to employers.
If your learners opt into receiving the weekly Young Professional newsletter as part of their signup process, they will enjoy weekly tips, bite-sized activities and moments of self-reflection to help them on their skills development journey.
There are several Young Professional programmes available:
- The Preparing For Your Future programme is best suited for 14-16 year olds who are exploring their future options
- The Journey To Work programme is best suited to 17-19 year olds who are closer to the world of work.
- The Explore Apprenticeships programme is suited for learners who are ready to gain a little understanding of apprenticeships as a future option in terms of transitioning from education into work.
By becoming a Young Professional your learners will get skills support from experts and Youth Ambassadors, fantastic opportunities from Youth Friendly Employers, and can show employers that they have the passion to learn.
