There is a growing opportunity for young people to connect to mentoring with programmes such as 1 million mentors in the UK. The government and a number of youth organisations have mobilised themselves to create more mentoring opportunities for young people. This is down largely to the evidence being gathered that tells us that mentoring can support people to develop their skills, strengths and focus on their goals.
