The pandemic has prompted businesses to change how they operate. There has been a lasting shift to more remote and hybrid working in many organisations, with Work Foundation research showing almost nine in 10 workers do not want to return to pre-Covid working patterns.
But this presents new challenges for businesses and workers alike There remains a risk that increased remote and hybrid work could exacerbate existing workplace inequalities, and lead to the emergence of new ones too.
This is the latest in a series of free to access public webinars from Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) addressing the big issues facing society and business today and tomorrow.
The event will include:
- Members of the Work Foundation and , Daisy Hooper, Head of Policy and Public Affairs, at the Chartered Management Institute will be presenting research into the impact of hybrid working on different worker groups.
- Steve Butler, Punter Southall Aspire
- Dr Lara Pecis, from Lancaster University Management School.
- Industry figures to discuss previous Work Foundation research on the effect of the pandemic on work placements and internships in a hybrid environment, and the impact and potential future of hybrid working in the North of England, as well as that carried out in LUMS.
- Work Foundation Director Ben Harrison will chair the event, which is open to all, and will include opportunities for questions throughout.
