Worried about redundancy?

If you are an apprentice in Solihull and have been made redundant, or you believe you are at risk of redundancy, support is available. In the first instance you should talk to your college or training provider, they will work with you to secure a new employer.

The government have launched the Redundancy Support Service for Apprentices and you can access information online by visiting: https://engage.apprenticeships.gov.uk/redundancy-apprentice or by calling 0800 015 0400 to get free advice, find new opportunities, and access local and national support services offering financial, health and wellbeing, legal and careers advice.

Is there help to find a job locally?

Whatever your age, there is support available for you through Solihull Council’s employment programmes.

Young people aged 16-29, who live in Solihull and are looking for employment, education or training, can access Solihull Youth Employment Promise. The project provides access to one to one support to build confidence, access opportunities including jobs and apprenticeships or to look for suitable training or education and includes support for young people with disabilities or mental health needs.
