Worried about redundancy?
If you are an apprentice in Coventry and have been made redundant, or you believe you are at risk of redundancy, support is available. Your college or training provider will work with you to secure a new employer.
The WMCA is also working with ESFA, to understand the support available to apprentices whose learning has been disrupted. This information will be shared with young apprentices as soon as it’s finalised.

Aged 16-29? Ambition Coventry can help.
If you are 16-29 then Ambition Coventry, run by the Coventry Job Shop, can help. You can discuss your options with a careers advisor and get support to help you back in to training including with their Adult Education service.

The government have launched the Redundancy Support Service for Apprentices and you can visit the website or call 0800 015 0400 to get free advice, find new opportunities, and access local and national support services offering financial, health and wellbeing, legal and careers advice.

All apprenticeships are advertised on GOV.UK’s Find An Apprenticeship website, where you can search for vacancies in your area.
See if your local college can help
Visit the websites for your local colleges in Coventry or the West Midlands. They often list apprenticeship opportunities – and sometimes they have other opportunities, too.

If you are over 18, and have been made redundant, support is available through your local Jobcentre. They can offer you support – either online or with a one to one chat. Together you can explore new apprenticeship, training or employment opportunities.
