Tell us a bit about you…

I’m 21 years old and I’ve just finished university. I’m currently unemployed and just doing lots of volunteering work in my spare time.

Why did you join Youth Employment UK as a Youth Ambassador?

I joined Youth Employment UK because I want to expand on my current skills, and also learn new skills during my time with Youth Employment UK.

What have you been involved with so far?

Currently, I haven’t really been involved in anything yet because I’m new. However, I would like to be in involved in the events coming up. And I’ve already started taking part in ways like doing this interview, which is a chance for me to share my opinions about the needs of young people today.

What do you think the people in charge really need to know about education today?

Personally, I do not think that not having education means doors should be closed.

After finishing my degree, one thing I’ve realised is that experience is more important than education.
