Women into Trades is a unique programme that will enable women aged 18+ to start their career with Places for People as an Apprentice – available in six locations throughout the UK.

Places for People’s work impacts on the lives of many people across the UK, providing homes to live in, communities to retire to, places to stay active, supported homes for independent living and student accommodation. You will be joining their Affordable Housing team where they manage over 77,000 affordable rented homes in the UK and employ circa. 2,200 employees.

The 2 week induction will include:

  • Employability 
  • Health and Safety
  • CSCS test and card
  • Supervised site visits
  • £60 per week training allowance

Following the induction programme, you will progress into your Apprenticeship.

Progression:

If you are successful at the interview, you will progress onto a Level 2 Property Maintenance Apprenticeship at a minimum of £8.36, with an induction programme of 2 weeks at £60 per week.

Examples hourly pay rates:

  • Tina is 19 she gets £8.36
  • Candy is 21 she gets £8.36
  • Jacinth is 35 she gets £8.91

Eligibility:

  • 18+
  • Not in education, employment or training
  • Have little to no work experience
  • Highest qualification already obtained is a Level 3
  • Must have NI number
  • Proof of ID – birth certificate, driving license, Passport or a Photo ID with PASS hologram.

Online skills delivery with on-site visits
