Traineeships – in conversation with Department for Education

Last Friday employers, policy partners, and industry bodies joined us for the second of our Good Youth Employment Webinar series – a monthly forum which provides an opportunity to discuss a range of youth employment topics, this forum saw us discuss the opportunity of traineeships.

CEO Laura-Jane Rawlings was joined by Toni Moore, Policy Lead for Traineeships & Employer Engagement at the Department for Education. Toni oversee the successful delivery of traineeships nationally.

In this discussion Toni shared what a traineeship is, highlighting the benefits to the young person and employer, and shared details of the opportunities for incentive payments and support.

Toni spent an extended period of time with our employers answering their questions and giving fantastic insight into the best practice in traineeship delivery and how to navigate traineeships in a Covid environment.

The Good Youth Employment Webinar series occurs on the last Friday of every month, each topic focussed on helping employers navigate the landscape, latest policy and initiatives to support their youth employment strategies.
