The ThinkForward charity empowers disadvantaged young people and it’s recruiting two young trustees to sit on their board! This is an amazing opportunity – apply by 31st August 2020.

Location: London, but flexible

Hours: Six meetings per year, generally three hours each

Pay: Voluntary position – expenses covered

Closing date: Monday 31st August

Interviews: Week commencing Monday 14th September

What do the ThinkForward charity do?

ThinkForward is a charity that empowers young people who are in challenging life circumstances to transition successfully from school to the world of work.

The programme provides five years of personalised coaching and work readiness activities, focusing on raising the confidence and aspirations of young people. ThinkForward also deliver DFN-MoveForward which assists young people with learning disabilities who are amongst the most at risk of future unemployment.

ThinkForward are looking for two young trustees who are passionate about supporting young people to succeed. ThinkForward particularly encourage applications from candidates who have lived experiences of barriers the such as, but not limited to; discrimination (by ethnicity, disability, class), difficulty starting or maintaining employment and youth offending.

As members of the Young Trustee Movement, ThinkForward are excited to have young voices on the board and offer a range of support to help you within your role as you need.

What support will you get as a young trustee?

As a young trustee you will receive as much support as you need, including:

  • Application help from our CEO
  • Trustee training (in October)
  • Induction programme
  • Mentoring
