Supporting deaf young people into work

digital skills ai careers alexa

We are delighted to be working with National Deaf Children’s Society to help support more young deaf people to access opportunities for work.

The NDCS has produced a handbook for employers in removing barriers to employment for young deaf people. This handbook aims to help employers make sure their recruitment process and workplace are as fair and accessible to deaf people as possible.

The handbook includes information on:

  • Deafness
  • Communication tips
  • Reasonable adjustments
  • Communication support
  • Recruitment
  • Access to Work
  • Health and safety.
