Summary of Offering

The Learning and Skills Academy CIC is a Social Enterprise based in Northamptonshire that aims to provide real opportunities for people to gain the skills they want, the self-belief they are looking for and the employment opportunities they deserve. We strive to create a better community for all and do this by working with a range of organisations to access and deliver a number of community based, commercially focused activities

We provide employability support through work our Kickstart programme and are registered with QNUK awarding body to deliver a range of pre-employability and life skills accredited courses and also have access to over 40 Level 2 industry specific courses which the young people can access.

The Kickstart employability support that is provided to employers and employees includes:

• personal development plans updated regularly
• help to access 3rd party support to develop skills in the workplace
• monitoring employers to ensure they provide coaching and support
• looking for long-term work, including career advice and setting goals
• support with curriculum vitae (CV), ongoing job search (finding relevant jobs from advertised vacancies) and interview preparations monitoring this support via verbal and written feedback from young people during their job placement and afterwards, and acting upon
• this according to any existing training, development and learner policies.
