Youth Employment UK in partnership with PeoplePlus are looking for 15 young people aged between 16 and 24 to attend a workshop in Birmingham which will help shape the design of a new National Citizen Service Programme.
We want to hear from young people what could be done to make the NCS experience a great experience for future participants. The information you share with us will be used by PeoplePlus who are applying to deliver the NCS Programme.
Travel, Lunch and an Amazon Voucher and a participation certificate will be available to all participants. You will also be given a brief training session on effective workshop contribution which will come in handy for your own skill development.
It would be useful if you have experienced the NCS Programme in some way, you might have attended the programme, or know someone who did, you may have chosen not to take part. But ideally will have some knowledge of what it is.
You will not need anything else on the day, just your time and willingness to take part.
Terms and Conditions:
Travel will be reimbursed after the event, on the day of attendance you will need to provide your travel receipts. Travel will only be covered for those young people within a 40 mile radius of Birmingham. You will need to be able to travel independently, making your own way to the meeting location, no collection is available. You will need to provide Youth Employment UK of any dietary or attendance requirements, we will make all efforts to meet your needs so that you can participate effectively. By signing up to the event you agree to meeting the terms and conditions of this event, and the terms and conditions of event attendance with Youth Employment UK, this includes our code of conduct where you are expected to conduct yourself in an appropriate manner at all times. You will need to complete an attendance consent form and agree to having your photograph taken and used for publicity and also agree that any ideas and suggestions you offer will become the intellectual property of PeoplePlus which they may use to bid for contracts and or for other purposes they choose at their own discretion. You will have no rights over the information you share in the workshop. If you are under the age of 18 you will need a parent/career signature. You agree to your information being shared with the relevant contacts at Youth Employment UK and PeoplePlus for the management of this event. You must give notice of 48 hours if you are unable to attend, travel may not be reimbursed if you fail to give notice and have purchased travel arrangements.
