  • Date: 30th April 2021
  • Time: 13:00 – 14:00
  • Location: Zoom
  • URL: Event Link

This webinar series will run every last Friday 1pm – 1:45 and will see Youth Employment UK bring together a range of experts to discuss key youth employment topics, challenges and opportunities.

The series is open to all employers and primarily focused at those colleagues with a responsibility for HR, Talent, Recruitment and CSR.

Sector Based Work Academies and Kickstart provide an unique opportunity to identify committed workers who are currently unemployed. In this session Youth Employment UK CEO Laura-Jane Rawlings will be joined by Department of Work and Pensions colleague Tony Hyland from the National Employer and Partnership Team.

As the challenges of Covid disproportionately impacts those further from the labour market we look at how your business can access and benefit from this pool of talent.

This will cover:

  • The differences and similarities in Sector Based Work Academies and Kickstart
  • The barriers and challenges to employment for those in receipt of Universal Credit
  • Good practice in the delivery of these programs
