Youth Employment UK and Essex County Council Youth Service will be running a Business Breakfast on the 14th of December 2017 at Ford Motor Company.
This business breakfast will focus on the Youth Friendly Employment Principle – Recognising Talent and look specifically at best practice around the Attraction and Recruitment of young employees.
With more eyes focused on future talent pipelines it is important to understand what good youth employment practice across this area looks like.
Not all young people have had the same opportunity to develop academic and personal skills within their education setting or home life. Young people who are looking for work may have the motivation, attitude and desire to succeed but may not present well in job applications, on CV’s or at interview. Youth Friendly organisations are those that give all young people a fair chance and recognises their talent, not just their academic grades.
At this breakfast we will hear from organisations who believe in creating a diverse and open culture, providing great opportunities to young people. Delegates will take away a better understanding of the key criteria for being a youth friendly employer which ultimately will have a lasting and positive impact on their business.
