Heathrow Jobs and Careers Fair 2019

This annual event aims to inspire local people and invest in the local communities of Ealing, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Slough and Spelthorne. It showcases some of the hundreds of companies that operate in Heathrow and helps visitors gain a real understanding of the thousands of different skills and roles available. Employers will be on hand to share their insights on career progression, opportunities and answer any questions. Young people can also meet apprentices to learn more.

National Apprenticeship Week 2019

National Apprenticeship Week 2019 will bring together employers and apprentices from across England to celebrate the success of apprenticeships over the last decade and will seek to encourage even more people to choose apprenticeships as a fast-track to a great career. It will aim to involve more individuals, employers, partners and providers than ever before in activities that highlight the benefits apprenticeships bring to employers and the opportunities apprenticeships present to individuals. National Careers Week 2019

It’s not a careers fair, but National Careers Week is still a must-have on the careers events calendar for teachers and career advisers, students and school-leavers, and parents. National Careers Week celebrates UK careers guidance and free education resources. It helps to bring together students, employers, educators and career advisers through careers events and activities.

British Science Week 2019

Getting involved in British Science Week is really easy. You can participate in lots of different ways, from attending events (see the website for details) to downloading activity packs and setting up events yourself.

The Big Bang Fair 2019

Calling all young scientists and engineers… The Big Bang Fair is the UK’s largest celebration of science, technology and maths for young people. Enjoy a day of amazing hands-on workshops and activities. Led by Engineering UK, The Big Bang Fair is a free event that gets school groups and families excited about science and maths. A series of activities are run throughout the show in the Careers Cabin, inspiring students and young people to see themselves as the scientists and engineers of the future. These include ‘Meet the Future You’ careers networking sessions with STEM professionals. There’s also a fun online careers challenge to help a young person consider their key interests. Silicon Milkroundabout

Calling young people looking for opportunities to further their tech and digital careers! Too many employers to mention are attending and exhibiting at this job fair for young people in tech. There are immediate job opportunities available and some fantastic chances to network (see our networking tips for young professionals). National Women in Engineering Day (NWED) is an international awareness campaign designed to raise the visibility of women in engineering careers. It places a strong focus on the fantastic STEM career opportunities available to girls.

Coca-Cola Challenge Day

Young people aged 14-25 are invited to attend a special careers awareness event where they can be a Coca-Cola employee for a day and tackle LIVE problems to put their creative ideas to the test! Food and travel costs are provided. Interested parties can also visit the Coca-Cola European Partners Careers Hub to find out about career opportunities for young people in the UK, including green careers and Apprenticeship.
