There are lots of ways into a construction career. Kieran started his journey early with building experience in his family’s company. With Youth Friendly Employer Breyer Group, he’s keen to become a qualified Quantity Surveyor

Hi, Kieran. Why do you like working in construction?

I enjoy being able to work in a profession that is active in improving the conditions that people live and work in.

What’s your job title at Breyer Group?

Commercial Administrator…

How did you start working in construction?

I worked, from a very early age, for my family company that deals in and with the supply of construction material. It felt like a natural progression to go from working part-time, to full-time and now to Breyer Group.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Hopefully, having completed the necessary training, as a fully trained/qualified Quantity Surveyor!

If someone’s thinking about a construction career, what would you say to them?

It’s a great career path that offers multiple opportunities no matter your background. There’s a role where everyone can find their feet and excel.
