Please join us for any of our forthcoming employability workshops. Due to the current Covid  restrictions we are not able to offer any ‘in person’ meetings, so all our support is offered either  online, via Zoom, Teams or GoogleMeet or over the telephone.  

You will need a tablet or PC with access to the internet. 

Ready for Work Employability Workshops

This series of online workshops, led by professional trainers, Rachel and Naomi, will  be lively and interactive. You are welcome to join in as much as you want, or just  listen and learn. The workshops will give you hints, tips and insight into getting a  good job that is right for you. They will help you to stay motivated, confident and  connected as you prepare for your next steps into work.

Employability Focused Sessions 

These online workshops, will give you an opportunity to hear directly from employers  about the skills they look for in an employee and give you an insight into the jobs in  their sectors, e.g. higher education, construction, care. This is an ideal opportunity for  you to ask questions if you wish.

Job Club

A weekly meeting, to help you define an action plan and stay on track with your  search for work. Our Client Support Manager/Ready for Work Manager/Business  Volunteers are available to work one-to one with people who are work ready. We can  give you help with your CV’s, job search, application forms, interview practice.

Eligibility Criteria 

We work with people who have experienced more than one of the following barriers to work in the  last two years: Please do get in touch if you have any questions. 

Current accommodation insecure / falling into arrears; Experience of homelessness (rough  sleeping / sofa surfing / hostel); Previous experience of prison; Unspent convictions; Ex-military  personnel; Care leavers; Substance misuse (alcohol and / or drugs); Domestic violence; Disability  (including health, mental health and learning disabilities; Refugees or former asylum seekers who  have a right to work in the UK; Problem debt e.g. rent arrears, outstanding payment loans; NEET’s  aged 18-29; Survivors of modern slavery; people aged 50+ who are actively seeking work or  facing redundancy.
