Why is the Black Heritage in Business Programme important?
We live in a diverse world, and professional services Youth Friendly Employer EY understands the world we work in should reflect this. They are aiming to double the proportion of female and Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) talent in the UK partnership to 40% female and 20% BME by July 2025.
EY Careers has created the Black Heritage In Business Programme to take active, REAL steps to raise awareness with students on available career opportunities.
Discover EY: Black Heritage in Business
If you’re a first-year university student or in your second year of a four-year course, the Discover EY programmes are a great way to see if you could enjoy a career with EY.
What can you expect?
Over two days you’ll take part in workshops, panel events and discussions designed to rev your engine. As well as learning about other people’s stories, you’ll pick up great advice to help you sculpt your own story as you begin your career.
There’ll also be Q&As with EY’s people, information on their diversity and inclusion (D&I) strategy from their EY Black Network, assessment centre workshops and the opportunity for networking. If you make a great impression, you may get the chance to be fast-tracked onto one of EY’s summer internships.
This event is aimed at raising awareness for students from black heritage and you will need to be in your first year at university, or second-year on a four year course.
The event will be held in London. Travel and accommodation are paid for. You must currently be studying at a UK university and in the UK at the time of the event (outside UK travel costs cannot be covered).
Applications are now open. Discover EY – Black Heritage in Business 2020 programme will be held on Tuesday 7- Wednesday 8 April 2020.
