Trafford Council’s Economic Growth Team, Trafford Connexions and Trafford College are delighted to announce that we are holding an Apprenticeship Fair at Trafford College, Altrincham Campus, Manchester Road, West Timperley, Altrincham, WA14 5PQ on:
Tuesday 24th October 2017, 2:00pm – 7:00pm.
The Apprenticeship Fair is aimed at Year 11s and Year 13s to help inform and inspire their career choices. We have been working with a number of local schools to put together the format and content of the event and they have committed to send young people to attend. In addition, all young people in Year 11 and 13 in Trafford schools will be individually invited to attend the event with their parents or teachers.
We would like to invite you to express an interest in having a stand at this event in order to showcase the opportunities that you have available to young people, including school and college leavers. We would ask that you bring along details of any live vacancies that you have as well as those suitable for summer leavers.
To host a stand at this year’s event we require a small charge of £100 per Provider / Employer; this is to contribute to costs attached to hosting and marketing the event and a buffet to be provided on the day. The event will be promoted to 7000 young people in the Trafford area.
The aim of the event is to show young people the range of career and apprenticeship opportunities that are available, making this as interactive and engaging as possible. Priority will be given to providers / employers who are advertising local opportunities that cover a broad range of sectors.
The event will also hold various drop-in workshops throughout the afternoon, in which young people can attend; these include Apprenticeship pathways and registering on the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) website.

Parents often attend after work and as a result of issues in the past we would ask that only providers who are able to attend the event until the 7PM finishing time should book a stall.
